This was an odd pattern, it required me to back post crochet the X's around each other, and was quite confusing. I think it turned out okay, it doesn't look any worse than the photo in the book (that is to say, the X's in the photo aren't well defined). This turned into a square too long shortways and too short longways so I think I'll just end up putting it into the blanket sideways.
I used Red Heart Super Saver Bright Yellow yarn with a K hook.
